What Are the 4 Types of Medicare? [A, B, C & D]

Are you curious about the different types of Medicare? At Advantage Insurance Group, we’ve been helping clients navigate Medicare, health insurance, and long-term planning since 2008. It’s important to note that Medicare is not Social Security; they’re two different benefits and may start at different times. Medicare offers three health plan options:

Part A: Part A Medicare covers expenses related to hospital stays and hospice care. You may also have coverage for specific skilled nursing care services in certain circumstances.

Part B: Medicare Part B covers outpatient health services, like doctor’s visits, diagnostic screenings, ambulance transportation, lab tests, etc.

Part D: If you take a lot of prescription medication, consider enrolling in Part D. This plan type covers the cost of prescription drugs, although it’s only available through private insurance companies.

Part C (Medicare Advantage) and Medicare Supplement plans are also available. Our specialists will help you explore personalized care options, ensuring that you find the right coverage at a price you can afford.
